John Diva & The Rockets Of Love - Munich

On 18 December, John Diva & The Rockets Of Love come to the Backstage Halle. They're bringing their new album "Your Favorite Drug", released on 16 October 2026 via Frontiers. I'll be there with my camera and I'm expecting plenty of glitter, huge choruses and even bigger hair.

The band brings eighties arena rock to the stage, with big hooks, multi-part choruses and a stage show that deliberately goes all out. What sounds tongue-in-cheek is meant seriously in musical terms: behind the glamour is a well-oiled live band.

The numbers back that up. By their own account, John Diva & The Rockets Of Love have played more than 400 shows across Europe, completed five headline tours and supported Def Leppard and Europe. At festivals they've been seen everywhere from Wacken to Rotterdam.

In the band's own words, "Your Favorite Drug" marks the start of their next era. The tour kicks off in mid-October with two release shows in Hamburg, the first of which is already sold out, plus a night in Cologne. Munich is one of the last stops before Christmas. It will be exciting to see how much new material finds its way in between the familiar anthems.

Opening the night are Fighter V from Hergiswil in Switzerland. The band takes its cues from eighties hard rock and arena rock, with role models such as Whitesnake, Journey and Bon Jovi. They recorded their debut "Fighter" in Sweden in 2019 with Jona Tee of H.E.A.T, followed in 2024 by "Heart Of The Young" with singer Emmo Acar. In April 2026 they released their third album "Deja Vu", their first on Frontiers - the same label John Diva are signed to. A support act could hardly be a better fit.
