On 3 March 2027, Royal Blood come to the Muffathalle in Munich. The British rock duo plays one of three announced German shows on its European tour. Cologne on 1 March and Berlin on 2 March come first on the schedule.
Mike Kerr (vocals, bass) and Ben Thatcher (drums) do without a guitarist: Kerr runs his bass through effects, creating a sound that at times recalls a distorted guitar. The duo broke through in 2014 with their self-titled debut album. In 2015 they won the BRIT Award for Best British Group, and in 2023 they played the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival.
New album "Dead Company"
The tour centres on their fifth studio album "Dead Company", due on 13 November 2026 via Warner Records. Kerr and Thatcher went back into the studio in 2025 without a deadline. They produced the ten songs themselves, and the sound is deliberately pared back to the essentials. The album was written and recorded with the stage in mind.
A first taste comes from the songs already released: "Ten Over Ten", "Swallow The Bomb" and "Dead Company". "Ten Over Ten" grew out of Kerr's marathon training and is about perseverance. Their previous album, "Back To The Water Below", came out in 2023. In summer 2026 Royal Blood made their return, among other things with a surprise set at Reading Festival.
