On 20 April, Hansa 39 is going to be loud, fast and in a thoroughly foul mood, in the good way: The Good The Bad and The Zugly are coming to Munich with their latest album “November Boys”. It is one of seven dates on their German tour in April 2027, which also takes in Hafenklang in Hamburg, Chemiefabrik in Dresden and MTC in Cologne.
The Norwegians have been playing punk rock since 2011 and see themselves in the tradition of the 1990s Oslo scene, with bands like Turbonegro and Gluecifer as role models. They already supported Gluecifer in Germany in early 2026, and now they are coming back as headliners.
Their trademark is pitch-black humor, which runs riot above all in the song titles. Getting older, with everything that comes with it, is a running theme. According to the band, the music doesn't suffer for it: the songs are getting faster and the riffs dirtier.
“November Boys” came out on 5 September 2025 and is the band's sixth studio album. In 2018 they won the Norwegian Spellemannprisen in the Rock category for the album “Misanthropical House”. A proper headline tour of Germany has been a long time coming: according to Visions, their last real European tour was probably around thirteen years ago.
What interests me most is how the songs from “November Boys” come across in a club like Hansa 39. Punk rock of this kind works on record, but it only really ignites on stage. We'll see and hear the rest in April.
