The Home Team - Munich

First headline show in Munich

Tomorrow, Tuesday 27 October, The Home Team take the stage at the Technikum in Munich's Werksviertel. So far, the Americans have only been seen in Germany as a support act, including for State Champs. With the “The Crucible of Life European Tour 2026”, they are now heading out on their first headline tour of Germany. Four shows are on the schedule.

The band was founded in Seattle in 2013 by guitarist John Baran and drummer Daniel Matson, initially as a five-piece. Today the lineup also includes vocalist Brian Butcher and bassist Ryne Olson. Musically, The Home Team have moved away from their metal roots and developed a style of their own, which they call heavy pop. Down-tuned guitars meet catchy pop melodies, R&B influences and funk grooves.

After the debut EP “Black Sheep” (2014) came the studio albums “Better Off” (2018), “Slow Bloom” (2021) and “The Crucible of Life” (2024). With “Worthy” from the deluxe edition released in 2025, the band entered the singles charts for the first time. In June 2026, “It Lives, It Changes” followed, a collection of reimagined songs from their back catalogue, complemented by the new track “Spirit”.

Arrows In Action and True North provide the support. After the opening night in Munich, the German tour takes The Home Team on to Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne. Doors at the Technikum open at 7 pm, with the show starting at 8 pm.
