Beatsteaks formed in Berlin in 1995 and are one of Germany’s biggest rock bands. Singer Arnim Teutoburg-Weiß, guitarists Bernd Kurtzke and Peter Baumann, bassist Torsten Scholz and drummer Thomas Götz combine punk, rock and indie with tremendous live energy. “Smack Smash” (2004) and songs such as “Hand in Hand” and “I Don’t Care as Long as You Sing” brought their big breakthrough. Their ninth studio album, “Please”, was released in 2024.
