Sons of Apollo formed in 2017 as a progressive metal supergroup. The line-up featured drummer Mike Portnoy, keyboardist Derek Sherinian, bassist Billy Sheehan, guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal and singer Jeff Scott Soto. Their albums “Psychotic Symphony” (2017) and “MMXX” (2020) combine intricate arrangements with memorable melodies.
